    At the Sydney 2000 Paralympics, Shinji Negi was captain of the Japan national men's wheelchair basketball team. He currently serves as a member of the governing board of the Japanese Paralympic Committee and deputy director of Athlete Network.

    In 2002 and 2003 Tomoe Takada came second in the Japan Goalball Championship. She won the prize for gaining the most points at the Japan Goalball Championship in 2007 and led her team to victory.

    Since damaging his spinal cord in a motorcycle accident in 1989 as a high school student, Jun Hiromichi has lived his life in a wheelchair. Mr. Hiromichi won the silver medal in the 800m wheelchair racing event at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games. He then went on to win the bronze medal in the 800m event at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games, achieving the great accomplishment of winning medals in two consecutive Paralympics.

  • Supporter Hiroshi Nojima

    Since damaging his spinal cord in a traffic accident as a high school student, Hiroshi Nojima has lived his life in a wheelchair.

    Mr. Nojima represented Japan in Alpine Skiing in the Nagano 1998 Paralympic Games and the Torino 2006 Paralympic Games. Currently he is training the next generation of athletes as Director of the Japan ChairSki Association and Director of the Japan Disabled Golf Association.
