The Food Sciences Division is developing businesses that manufacture and sell high-value-added products in a wide range of segments, such as food ingredients, health ingredients, cosmetic materials, pharmaceutical materials, and agrochemicals, using biotechnology, such as fermentation and cell cultivation, as the core technology.
By utilizing the strength of life science technologies, it works to improve the quality of life of consumers with good taste, health, beauty, etc., and solve social issues, such as the stable supply of food.

Food Resources Division

At the Food Resources Division, we utilize our business locations in North America, South America and Australia together with the global agricultural network owned by our business partners to provide stable supply of various food raw materials including grains, oilseeds, animal feed, sugar and coffee beans to Japan and other countries around the world.
While there is concern around the tight supply and demand for global food resources, the needs pertaining to consideration for human rights and the environment are growing. While implementing initiatives to build secure and safe supply structures the division embraces the challenge of solving society's problems regarding food and agriculture.

Corn, wheat, soybeans, rapeseeds, feed materials, flour, sugar, starches, sweeteners, instant noodles, coffee, cocoa, sesame seeds, edible nuts, oils and fats, etc.

Marine Products Division

Through a vertically integrated business model that encompasses production, procurement, manufacturing, processing, and sales, the Marine Products Division works to meet the needs of consumers by providing seafood products.
The Marine Products Division responds flexibly to changes in population, industry and consumption structure, while proactively and independently managing each business from upstream to downstream.
Sustained growth continues to be achieved in each business by ensuring competitive advantages such as cost competitiveness and added value, etc.
Also, with regard to personnel training, we coordinate with group companies to develop personnel with strong field capabilities that always put customers first.
